Job description

As a Field Engineer Building Automation, your task is to integrate the various techniques within a smart building in a sustainable and intelligent manner. You are responsible for the design, programming and implementation of the developed systems at the customer’s site. It is a combination of preparation at the office and on-site at our customers spread across the Benelux.

The focus is on integrating the various building techniques into an intelligent system. The building management system may consist of:

– Energy measurement/management systems (water, gas, electricity, calories,…)
– Lighting systems
– HVAC
– PV, charging station systems, access control, etc.
– Linking of various protocols: KNX, modbus, bacnet, …

You are responsible for:

– Analysis and programming from A to Z
– Smart configuration of visualisation dashboards
– Implementation of software and user interface
– Performing on-site tests during the start-up phase, verifications and error detection
– Developing properly documented files
– Aftercare and follow-up of our installations and customers
– Working on a standardised methodology

– Passionate about the latest building technologies (KNX, Dali, HVAC, networks, energy & sustainability)
– You have a technical degree A1 (Electricity / Energy / Electromechanical automation or equivalent through experience)
– Experienced specialist or first work experience, both are welcome
– You are hands-on and results-oriented
– You are a real team player and always know how to find the right information to help customers in the best possible way
– Creative, independent, structured and able to work accurately
– You enjoy a varied & challenging job in the Benelux
– With remote support, you combine your knowledge with the digital world
– Sustainability, KNX and/or PLC programming is your thing and you are triggered by electricity & electro/mechanics
– Knowledge of electrical installations (AREI) and low-voltage systems
– Communicative, you are not afraid to speak English/French in addition to Dutch (or learning them)
– You have a driving licence B

The following are an added value:

– Relevant experience in programming (KNX and/or PLC)
– Basic knowledge of networks and HVAC systems
– Possession of a basic safety VCA certificate and cherry picker certificate
